Marvo surfaces posters, metadata, and awards information from several third-party sources so it can recommend a single great pick for your night. This page lists those sources and the brand marks Marvo displays when it does. None of these sources receive your personal information — Marvo reads from them server-side to build the catalog.
Title metadata
Posters, cast, runtimes, content ratings, and other catalog metadata are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB).
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Marvo uses TMDB data and images under TMDB’s commercial API license.
Where to watch
Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch, through TMDB. Marvo does not stream, host or download any film or show. Choosing where to watch opens that streaming service’s own app or website, where your own subscription applies.
Trailers
Trailers are official videos played through YouTube’s embedded player. Marvo does not host or download them.
Awards and recognition
Awards and festival pedigree data — Oscar nominations and wins, Emmy awards, Cannes selections, and similar — are sourced from Wikidata, a free and open knowledge base released under the Creative Commons CC0 license. Wikidata is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Streaming services
Service names and logos are used to identify where a title is available to watch on a user’s subscriptions. Each service name and mark is the property of its respective owner. Use of these marks does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

How Marvo picks
The recommendation itself — the one-line “why,” the sommelier framing, the alternatives — is generated by Marvo using a large language model from Anthropic. Marvo combines your watch history, mood, household context, and active services into a prompt; the model returns a single pick plus two backups.
